When Rockhounding in Nova Scotia the first thing you need to pay attention to is the tide times. When the tide goes out, you only have a small window of time to scour the ocean floor. Always check the tide times before you venture out. Watching the tides is an incredible experience, it never gets old.

Burncoat Head Park, the scenery is beautiful when the tide goes out, but it is not good for Rockhounding. Blomidon Provincial Park, Digby, Cape D’Or, are all great places to venture out.

So many amazing spots in Nova Scotia eh? Looks beautiful!
